HRA Back to Work Program

We employ the community we serve. If you are currently on public assistance, have an interest in childcare, and your child attends our school, we are a back to work facility. We will help train you for a career in childcare.

Quality Stars

How do you know if what your children is learning in preschool meets the National Standard?

Quality Stars is a national independent company that rates a preschool from 1-5 stars to let you know how a school is doing. We have partnered with them down to the design of the school to ensure your child is getting the highest quality education not only locally but nationally.

Literacy INC. is a non-profit organization which works with schools, early childhood centers and family-facing organizations to strengthen literacy learning environments. Literacy Inc. comes into our school weekly to read stories to the children, dress up as themed characters of the book they are reading, and also do workshops for the parents to teach them how to read to their children.

Smile New York

Healthy teeth are an essential part of a child’s development especially when it comes to speech and behavior. We have partnered with Smile Dentist who come out to the school every six months to do routine cleanings. They also point out some things that may need to be addressed such as cavities and things of that nature.

To fill those cavities and maintain healthy teeth, we have partnered with Dr. Greene. A local dentist that specializes in working with children.

Island Kids Pediatrics

We know how hard it is to find a great pediatrician with flexible hours that takes all insurance plans. Well, we have found one and partnered with them. Island Pediatrics will give same day, weekend, and evening appointments at any of their 3 locations. More importantly, this partnership allows the school faster access to your child’s medical records should the school need them. Just mention your child attends YMIM.

Testing Mom

There has been a lot of talk recently about how unfair the Gifted and Talented test is for black and brown children. Also, how they are unable to compete because they don’t have access to great test prep.

We have partnered with Testing Mom, the leader in gifted and talented test prep. Every Saturday morning, once your child turns four years old, we will have a Testing Mom teacher come into the school and specifically work on passing the test. This is in addition to what the school is doing daily.
